The next generation of Rubber reins is the Rubber Flex Rein. Traditionally rubber reins have been very stiff in the hand. This effect is created by adding chemicals to the rubber to make it harden.

Many people don't like rubber and especially for children its this very stiffness that makes them awkward to hold and less likeable.

Furthermore the stiffness of the rubber only adds to a hard contact between your hands and the horses mouth, something which is undesirable in sport and may make your horse set itself against your hands.

Rubber Flex reins are different in they offer a much more flexible feel to the rubber, its very soft and pliable in the hand and is very slightly flexible, not so as you would lose control, but to allow a very small amount of natural give in the contact.

To hold they are absolutely wonderful and already the few pairs we've had on the market have been met with a lot of praise.
